- Netflix has had tons of first series on its own streaming service through the years, but only 10 of these have aired over four seasons as of October 2020.
- Of those 10 Netflix indicates who’ve made it past few seasons, 2 of these were one of the first which Netflix ever produced: House of Cards and Orange Is the New Black.
- Netflix canceled GLOW this week despite being declared there are a fourth year.
“We have made the challenging decision to not perform a fourth year of GLOW because of COVID. Making shooting this intimate series with its large ensemble cast especially ambitious,” Netflix clarified in a statement. This is a relatively reasonable explanation in the studio. After all, GLOW is all about the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling, and frequently requires the actors to maintain close proximity. Yet, fans were angry, also made that clear on social media, particularly considering that production on the fourth and last season had begun.
GLOW was an unbelievable series, and I am disappointed that it has gone, but in addition, it got me thinking about how many shows Netflix has continued in recent years. Actually demonstrates that appeared to be garnering critical acclaim and a good deal of audiences. That led to me finding this intriguing Reddit post roughly Netflix demonstrates that made it beyond a third year. And with as many displays as Netflix has generated, I was amazed at the amount.
